KidzMondo Doha, a unique children’s edutainment park located at Mall of Qatar, expects to welcome around 1,200 schools throughout this coming academic year.
“Our target for this year is 1,200 schools. We are planning to invite five schools per day which will be around 100 schools per month,” Dr Eman Baker Abu El Hawa, General Manager of KidzMondo Doha told The Peninsula yesterday.
She was speaking on the sidelines of a press conference to announce the launch of the ‘Back to School’ campaign by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) for the coming academic year 2017/2018.
With the theme “By Education We Build Qatar”, the campaign has several partners, one of which is KidzMondo Doha.
“We have partnered with MEHE for this campaign, the purpose of which is to prepare students for the school year with the involvement of parents and encourage them students to have a fresh and effective start. We are offering our activities for children to experience their future careers through role play,” said El Hawa.
Regarded as the “city of education and entertainment,” KidzMondo Doha features an interactive kid-sized city developed for and managed by children. Covering an 8000sqm area, the self-sufficient city comprises over 80 real-life simulation activities across 63 unique establishments allowing children to dress up and role-play realistic tasks.
“KidzMondo is an edutainment city which provides useful tools for the educative process of children between ages four and 14,” said El Hawa.
Since its opening last year, KidzMondo Doha has seen children flocking to its various activities which support their social, artistic, creative and cognitive development to help them become well-versed individuals in preparation for the professional world of adults.
While KidzMondo is present in several countries, KidzMondo Doha is unique in itself with activities catered especially to children here since a number of Qatar-based companies such as Qatar Airways and Ooredoo have their own zones in the city.
