Qatar Leadership Centre honours 106 high-achieving participants
DOHA: In a special ceremony, held yesterday, Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) recognised 106 of its high-achieving Qatari participants who completed one of QLC’s three National Leadership Programs: The Executive Leaders, Government Leaders, and Rising Leaders programs. The ceremony was held at St Regis Doha Hotel.
The coveted programs have been developed in partnership with world class educational institutions such as Harvard Business School, University of Cambridge, HEC Paris, and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, amongst other institutions. The programs deepen the capabilities of Qatar’s business and government leaders, empowering them to further contribute to the success and development of the country.
The holistic curriculum at QLC includes regular engagement with prominent local and international business and government leaders through guest lectures, seminars and exclusive events. Participants of the Executive, Government and Rising Leaders Program round off their training with an international Learning Journey to global focal points of business, industry and innovation.
H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of QLC’s Board of Directors, during the event, yesterday.
“Our commitment to education is paramount. It shapes our future, underpins the prosperity of our country and our people, and moves us towards our national development goals. It has always been a major focus for our leadership,” remarked H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of QLC’s Board of Directors. “Developing globally minded and culturally grounded leaders enables us to proactively address the needs of Qatar’s public and private sectors today. And crucially, it also supports economic, cultural and social progress in years to come”.
In the presence of QLC’s community during the ceremony, H E Sheikha Al Mayassa launched QSurvey, Qatar’s first online survey tool. This platform is the first survey tool in the world to fully support the Arabic language, in addition to its English capabilities. QSurvey will help inform decision makers around the world through effective collection and analysis of data.
Qatar Leadership Centre has also continued to develop Qatar’s human capital in line with Qatar’s goals, as it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Qatar University last January. The memorandum aims to encourage and strengthen knowledge exchange and cooperation in the field of human capital development, in addition to other academic fields.
“The Centre encourages participants to explore the latest leadership philosophies, management tools, and technologies. We cultivate the continued growth of our best and brightest and strengthen their leadership roles in all sectors - not least because this benefits our country,” noted Dr Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of QLC.
