QC distributes fresh meat to 2,267 families in Gaza
DOHA: Around 2,267 poor families benefited from the fresh meat project implemented by Qatar Charity (QC) in the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the General Department of Zakat at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Palestine.
The Director of the QC office in the Gaza Strip, Engineer Mohammed Abu Haloub said the fresh meat project, implemented at a cost of about QR135,000, contributed to alleviating the suffering of a large number of Palestinian families living under the deteriorating economic conditions.
Abu Haloub pointed out that most of the families benefiting from the project suffer from insufficient income, as they have no breadwinner, noting that Qatar Charity works hard to lessen their suffering through donations that it gets from philanthropists.
Qatar Charity targets the most needy groups such as orphans, poor, and people with special needs through its seasonal projects, including the Udhiya (sacrificial animals) project in particular, which are implemented every year by its office in the Gaza Strip in cooperation with partner organizations.
Qatar Charity has implemented a number of projects in the Gaza Strip last year.
