Women burn calories at ISC’s Zumba session

DOHA: Indian Sports Center’s (ISC) Yoga and Fitness Committee organised Zumba session exclusively for ladies at Birla Public School auditorium on May 5.

Nisha Agrawal, Head of Yoga and Fitness at ISC, welcomed the participants with a brief overview of Indian Sports Centre’s activities in the past one year and shared some of the upcoming activities. The event was opened by Habibul Nabi, General Secretary at ISC.

Zumba is one of the most popular cardio vascular dancing workouts to burn tonnes of calories.

The session was given by one of the finest Zumba trainers in Doha, who took the members to a different level with some of the popular Zumba dancing styles; Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, Moombahton, Bhangra, Hindi pop and Dembow. The music, the rhythms, the up-beat feeling in class was incredibly contagious and thrilling.

Committee member, Sujatha Fernandes, was behind the camera whereas Sowmya Naidu, Ruby Vipin, Zarna Bhatt meticulously assisted with registration and managed the programme. 

Vote of thanks was presented by Renu Malhotra, with a promise and commitment that ISC - Yoga and Fitness committee will continue to bring more such exclusive events for the community to embrace a fitness oriented lifestyle as a normal routine.
