Ooredoo to host NSD event at MIA Park

DOHA: Ooredoo announced yesterday that it will once again host a National Sport Day (NSD) event at Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park.
This is the seventh year that Ooredoo has provided free sporting activities for public on Sport Day at MIA Park and the company has announced that this year there will be over 40 activities available to try.
The huge range of sports will be available from 8am to 5pm tomorrow and activities have been designed to suit all fitness levels and abilities. Highlights of the activities include several high-profile football matches, a penalty shootout, handball, human chess, mini-golf, boxing, table tennis, archery, tug of war, karate, aerobics, basketball, and more.
Talking about the event, Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director of PR and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo, said: “Sport Day is a day to bring communities together and inspire everyone to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. We’re delighted to once again be partnering with MIA Park to offer free fitness activities for Qatar on Sport Day and we encourage everyone to come along, join in, and find their new favourite sport”.
To further encourage everyone to be active, Nojoom Members who register their Ooredoo number via www.ooredoo.qa/sportsday before the day, will be able to walk MIA Park and earn up to 750 Nojoom Points.
As well as sporting activities, healthy food options will be sold at the park alongside fresh juice and water, and Ooredoo encourages families to bring a picnic and enjoy the daylong event.
On top of the sporting event, a host of service offers will be available for customers to help celebrate the day, including free data for all Hala customers who top-up their account with QR50 or above or a QR60 or above data recharge, and 50 percent off all new Endless Internet Pack QR70 or above subscriptions for six months.
Ooredoo’s support for Qatar’s Sport Day is part of its ongoing commitment to raise awareness of the importance of fitness and health to the people of Qatar.
