A street on Landmark intersection to be closed on 2nd and 3rd day of Eid Al Fitr
Doha: One of the streets at the Umm Lekhba interchange or Landmark intersection as it is popularly known will be closed for two days to carry out construction work.
Ashghal announced that Al Markhiya Street will be closed at Umm Lekhba interchange (Landmark intersection) during the second and third day of Eid Al Fitr in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During the 2-day closure, drivers can use the alternative routes including Al Khafji St. and Arab League St.
The closure is required to continue the demolishing works of the existing pedestrian bridges and enable the construction works of vehicles bridges on Umm Lekhba Interchange.
Users of Umm Lekhba Interchange coming on Al Markhiya Street heading East or West should use the alternative routes including Al Khafji Street, and Arab League Street (as shown in the attached map).
The Public Works Authority will install road signs to guide road users to alternative routes, and urged all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
