Ministry of Education underlines role of technology
Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education urged parents to invest the technological tools available to students in their homes in order to develop their minds, expand their perceptions, review their lessons and seek information in a proper manner, which in turn reflects on their performance.
The Ministry also emphasized the effective role of technology in developing the skills of the 21st century in the State of Qatar and the importance of activating it by teachers in the right way within classrooms, in order to benefit the students in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
This came yesterday in a speech delivered by Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry, Fawzia Abdulaziz Al Khater, during her visit to Al Khansaa Primary School for Girls in Al Thomama area to follow up the activation of the e-learning project in the public schools for the academic year 2017 2018, attend some classes, review the mechanism of integrating technology in education and the various technological tools used in classrooms and to identify the most important challenges that may face the school administrations in terms of providing an attractive environment for learning.
The e-learning program is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to develop the educational process and provide e-services based on integrated digital technology to enhance the efforts of the Government of Qatar to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
