Several foreign varsities attend ABP Fair
Doha: Under the umbrella of Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation, The Academic Bridge Program’s counseling team organised a university fair inviting 21 universities from around the world.
Universities from countries including the US, Hong Kong, Germany, and Switzerland, offering a number of different majors, visited the LAS building in Education City (ABP-EC), to meet with perspective students and inform them about the educational opportunities they provide.
The event held at the ABP-EC campus was open to the public, apart from ABP students, school counselor’s, high school students, and their parents attended.
Jacqueline Nottingham the ABP’s counselor said: “Students should learn about universities all over the world. It’s not only about location, but it’s about the best fit for their comfort level, study methods, and lifestyle choices. Majors of study, programs, and career discovery is just a small part of opening up the next phase of exploration for students to learn and grow.”
The Academic Bridge Program organises many university fairs yearly to insure students studying at the ABP are never in short of options and educational opportunities. This is not the first large scale fair organized by the Academic Bridge Program this year; the All Qatar University Fair was held on the 16th of January, and was also open to the public. In addition, students at the Academic Bridge Program constantly take advantage of university fairs and visits organized specifically for them.
