Joint Special Forces, Amiri Naval School celebrate graduation
Doha: The Joint Special Forces celebrated yesterday the graduation of the Special Marine Corps Training Course 2017/2018 under the auspices and in presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
Colonel (Naval) Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Ghafari commander of the Naval Special Force said that the graduates received the best naval as well as maritime counter-terrorism exercises in cooperation with the French and Pakistani forces, and with the participation of the Amiri Air Force.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Armed Forces’ senior officers.
Meanwhile, the Amiri Naval School celebrated the graduation of 2017/2018 Training Course, with the attendance of Acting Commander of Amiri Naval Forces Brigadier (Naval) Hamad Mohammed Al Dosari.
The ceremony reviewed some of the outstanding training activities carried out by the Navy School during this year. Participants in eight training courses for officers and other ranks were graduated. The number of graduates of these courses was 164 officers, non-commissioned officers, and specialized technicians.
The ceremony was attended by a number of military attaches to the State of Qatar, in addition to a number of senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces.
On the other hand, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of three Royal Navy warships to the port of Doha to participate in joint military exercises between the two countries.
These exercises are part of the joint military cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom to combat terrorism and violent extremism.
